A few more from the Coorong, then down to the Little Dip Conservation Park

No, it's not a flower...

 It's a caterpillar!
There haven't been many clear nights, but when there is it's another chance for a star trail experiment.

Little Dip Conservation Park - a beautiful grassy camp area, with cheeky Superb Fairy Wrens

Where there is wombat poo, and large burrows in the sand...
...you're sure to eventually see one!

The Coorong

A few years ago we had one day in the Coorong, and knew it wasn't long enough.  We've been here a week this time... and it's still not long enough!  One perfect sunny day early in the week was the cue to kayak across the waterway to see what lay behind the dunes.  The ocean beach was beautiful - but not deserted... a couple of old mates were fishing.  We chatted briefly and they said they don't like fish - just fishing - so were throwing back what they caught.  Just then one of them landed an Australian salmon and offered it to us!  A few minutes later it was gutted and a piece of old rope was tied around its head and we were scurry back across the dunes to turn it into lunch.

Our camp spot is the perfect place to watch sunsets...

... and experiment with more star trails.

There are also birds and plenty of other interesting things to keep the photographer occupied.

A Sunday drive through the Barossa and Eden Valleys

The Clare Valley

It was overcast and rainy most of the week we were in the Clare Valley - at least it made it easier to be inside and working!  There were a couple of glimpses of sun though.
