To Timber Creek

We kept on top of work as best we could with our modified travel plans, but it was still feeling a bit overwhelming. We had a 300km "day off" Sunday drive to Edith Falls turnoff. The camping area was nothing spectacular, but the sunset was the best we've had so far.

As we headed west from Katherine it was clear we were getting closer to the type of country we were looking forward to seeing.

Instead of doing a couple of shorter days driving and fitting marking in before and after we decided on one longer day and two nights in the caravan park at Timber Creek so that we'd have an uninterrupted day to work. It proved to be a great move, both from a productivity perspective and for birds.
