Castle Rock Granite Skywalk
After Bluff Knoll we were happy for three days of wet weather and work to let our sore legs recover! By day four we were caught up on work and the sky was clearing, so we thought we should get out and do something. We had driven past the Porongurup National Park on our way back from Bluff Knoll and had looked at the information board about the Granite Skywalk, which looked interesting. We decided we had enough time to fit that in so had an early lunch and took off.
It was a pleasant walk through the forest, but once again it was mostly up!

The view from the top was impressive, but it was super windy and we could see showers coming across, so didn't spend too much time up there.
Once we were back down in the forest it was a lot less windy and far more pleasant.

Inland Thornbill
Karri boya-k (Tree in the Rock) Picnic Area
The rain was holding off so we drove into a picnic area further to the west in the national park. The karri trees were magnificent, but the rain started so there was no possibility of further walking.
A colourful building in Mount Barker on our way home.
