South through Riversleigh to Mount Isa

We'd heard bad stories about this road, but were confident that with lower tyre pressures and slower speed we would be okay... turns out the grader had been over it very recently and it was a very pleasant drive!

We had morning tea at Riversleigh D fossil site.  We wouldn't have had any idea what we were looking at without the interpretive signs...

There were a couple of shallow river crossings...

... and a pretty lunch spot.
