Since we were pressed for time we could only afford an afternoon in Darwin so, of course, we had to coincide it with the Mindil Beach Markets. We walked up and down and looked at the food stalls and chose a popular looking Asian food stall. The medium was only a dollar more than the small, and it was only a dollar more to have meat only (as many choices as would fit!) rather than with rice or noodles, so two medium meat-only it was.
About half way through we were starting to regret our choice as it was just so big... until Dazz mentioned the fridge in the car and having plastic wrap in the picnic box. When I opened the picnic box it got even better - I had some containers in there I'd forgotten about. Dinner for the next night was sorted!
That left room for some ice cream as we walked on the beach.
We didn't wait for the sun to go down because we had an hour drive back to the van at Marrakai. We did, however, see an amazing moon rise. Unfortunately Dazz didn't have his good camera with him so we had to make do with a hand-held phone.
