Litchfield National Park

Our initial travel plan had us staying at Bitter Springs for a week to work, but it seemed like our workloads were going to be lower than expected so we decided to take a detour to Darwin because we hadn't been there before. After making bookings we discovered that my workload was actually going to be significantly higher due to unexpected circumstances, but we pressed on anyway. It was an exhausting week, but definitely worth it. Although the landscapes were interesting, we would have been disappointed if we made an special trip from Queensland just to see the Top End.

We started our day in Litchfield National Park with the Upper Cascades walk. The Lower Cascades were still closed after the late wet season.
